Horizons provided surveying and civil engineering related services for a new 15,000 square foot Fine and Performing Arts Center building on the Colby-Sawyer College campus in New London, NH. We prepared topographic survey including detailed underground utility location for the project area. Our staff collaborated with the design team members including the architect, other engineering disciplines, and the owner to develop a site design that worked well with the proposed building and surrounding campus features.
The design included underground utilities, closed drainage design, stormwater features, walks, and retaining walls. The project required permitting from NHDES Alteration of Terrain Bureau, NHDOT for Driveway Permit, Water Precinct, Sewer Company, Local Planning Board and Zoning Board of Adjustment, and EPA Construction General Permit. We provided contract administration and construction observation services during construction.
