Horizons Engineering has completed numerous infrastructure projects for the Town of Woodstock in the last several years. As the projects have all been funded directly by the Town, there has been increased flexibility on the engineering design, procurement, and construction services. As such, Horizons has focused on providing a cost-efficient approach. Three recent projects for the Town include the following:
Water Main Replacement along Route 112 (Lost River Road), Young Street, and Route 3. The design and permitting was completed in 2016 for the replacement of 2,500 linear feet of watermain on Route 3, 400 linear feet on Young Street, and 2,200 linear feet of main replacement on Route 112. We ultimately completed Construction Services for Route 112 and Young Street main replacement (Route 3 work was not completed).
This year the Town came back to us for assistance with watermain replacement on Paradise Road. This project includes 200 linear feet of water main replacement. Design and Permitting services were completed and Construction Services wrapped up in the fall.
We are currently assisting the Town with the rehabilitation of a Sewer Main Crossing across the Pemigewasset River. Our scope includes design, permitting and construction services. Currently we are in the permitting phase of this project.
The Town comes back to Horizons for assistance with projects as they can afford them; this relationship works well for us and the Town because we are familiar with the system and we can easily pick up the next project.
